Accommodation for 10-12 people in the villa
The Kaunisvirta villa consists of two separate buildings, the main building and a sauna cabin, which together can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. Both cottages have sleeping quarters, shower and toilet. The sauna cabin has separate beds for four on the sleeping loft, and the main building has three separate bedrooms offering accommodation for 8 people. Downstairs there is one bedroom with a 140 cm wide bed. Upstairs there are two larger bedrooms, one with 2 x 90 cm beds and the other with 4 x 80 cm beds. Some of the beds are placed next to each other. Access to the second floor is via rather steep stairs.
The main building also has a living room with a fireplace and a comfortable big sofa. The Kaunisvirta main building is about 105 m2 and the sauna building is 30 m2 + loft about 15 m2. A total of about 150m2.
All beds have blankets and pillows. Linen and towels can be rented separately. The loft above the sauna has spare mattresses and, if necessary, the cabin can accommodate a few extra people. If you want to accommodate more than 12 people in the cottage, contact our customer service.
The main building has a well-equipped kitchen and dining area
The kitchen has a stove, oven, dishwasher, high freezer, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. Also a toaster available. Crockery and cutlery are available for at least 12 people. Dish-washing detergent and garbage bags are included in the rent. The kitchen also often has salt and pepper, coffee and filter bags.
Next to the kitchen there is a dining area with a large dining table for 10 people. If there are 12 guests, not everyone can sit at the same table at the same time.
Separate sauna building with sauna, toilet and a bathroom
The villa has a separate sauna building with a floor area of about 30m2. There is a large wood-heated sauna with great views to the river. Next to the sauna there is a bathroom, with access to the outdoor terrace and to the hot outdoor tub. Above the sauna there is a sleeping loft for four people. Access to the loft via steep stairs.
There is a separate shower room in the main building, where you can also use a washing machine. The drying rack can be found in the storage room of the shower room or on the outdoor terrace.
A hot outdoor tub available for rent
The Villa Kaunisvirta has a wood-heated outdoor tub on the patio for about 6 people. A hot outdoor tub offers a great opportunity to bathe outdoors all year round. You can jump in the warm water and enjoy yourself regardless of the weather. The hot tub is located in front of the sauna, partially embedded in the terrace. In addition to the sauna, the sauna terrace has a seating group for four.

Please remember to fill the hot tub with water over the upper circulation pipe before lighting the fire so that the stove does not burn out.
A riverside suitable for swimming
The Kaunisvirta villa is located by the Kymijoki river branch. The yard has garden furniture, a gas operated barbecue and a log-wood grill hut with a partly open fireplace. The large terrace has a seating group for ten people.
Magnificent views over the green fields to the river open up from the cottage terraces. There is a small sandy path to the beach and there is a swimming pier by the river. The flow of the river is not strong, so you can swim in the river easily. The river has a mud bottom.
Villa Kaunisvirta also offers opportunities for boating and fishing. A rowing boat is included in the rent of the cottage at no additional charge. Along the river, you can also reach the sea through Struka’s manually operated river-lock.
Pets are welcome to villa Kaunisvirta
If you wish, you can take your pet with you to Villa Kaunisvirta. Pets must always be mentioned when booking. A pet fee is 10 euros/day per pet. If you yourself are very allergic, you can check with our customer service when there were pets at the cottage last time.
The cottage is suitable for year-round use
Villa Kaunisvirta is perfect for vacatios and accommodation all year round. The river often stays open until the end of December. The hot outdoor tub is also available all year round. The river is often frozen in January, but if you want, you can make an opening at the end of the pier.
